Recently, the political and Cultists related activities have arrowed violent actions that has resulted to loss of lives and properties, the effects may influence communal clashes which will threaten livelihoods, incomes, access to social services especially health and infrastructures,
The UMUOBI road is a major access road for the people of ASSA community –made up of four villages namely: Awoma, Idegele, Umuobi, Umugama and Obosa and of which their livelihood sustenance largely depends on farming. Farmers and small business people convey goods and farm produce through this road to the community.
Following the State Kick-off Workshop, and the emergence of Ideato South, Ikeduru and Onuimo as STAR LGAs for the pilot phase of the Transformative Govern
ance Programme in Imo Stare, the Accord team worked with the State Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development to agree and implement templates and procedures for deepening stakeholder involvement and ensuring that the overall programme process and its eventual outputs and outcomes is owned by both the communities as well as the State and Local tiers
The Leadership, Empowerment, Advocacy and Development (LEAD) Project, supported by RTI/PIND has already passed through its first phase as at 2015, therefore it is presently at its 2nd phase. Accord team led by Mubo Humble-Okere had a sensitization meeting with the Ward Development Committees (WDCs) in Khana local government towards their inauguration so as to be able to engage with Local Government Councils.
