Accord for Community Development paid a courtesy visit to Abuloma kingdom and were received by the king, General Bright A. Fiboinumama (rtd) JP, Obeomomu Odo 1.
The visit was initiated by Accord in conjunction with the Woman Leader of the Community, Mrs Rhoda Benson to brief the Royal Father on plans to support business women in the community through the SWIM project.
The Support for Women in Microenterprise (SWIM) is a scheme targeted at women who live by the margins and are vulnerable. The beneficiaries are expected to be involved in small businesses to cater for their sustenance as well as their families. The SWIM programme is meant to bridge the gap that limits the reach and income generating capacity of the women.
