Accord Carried Out Another Phase of SET Business Training in Rainbow Town – Port Harcourt

The theme for the training was tagged “Building a Business Empire that will stand the test of Time”.

In order to have a robust session, the training was broken into 2 parts. The first part dealt with the concept of Entrepreneurship, Business Idea generation, Business Plan writing and strategies in sustaining a Business in the long run. Practical case studies were used to drive home the points. This part was handled by Gideon Achomhi. The theme for the training was tagged “Building a Business Empire that will stand the test of Time”.

Similarly, the second part of the training centred on the Use of Information Communication Technology in driving SME operations. Trainees were taught on the vast technological methods they can adopt and leverage on to boost their businesses.  This part of the training was handled by Ikpe Owoidoho.

Individual Tasks
Participants were given an individual task to identify 2 profitable Businesses of their choice that they can venture into. This was done in the course of the first part of the training handled by Gideon Achomhi. At the end of the exercise, over 30 unique businesses and services were generated. Trainees were then informed that the starting point to going into business is first to identify the business they intend to go into before other plans will fit appropriately.


Question and Answer
SessionQuestions and answers from Trainees was entertained. A particular participant for instance wanted direct clarification on some of the business related concepts. Also, a woman with kids wanted to know how she could meet the needs of her Family without having to spend some of her business capital as according to her this has been a recurring decimal for her and many other questions came from participants.
