Business Enterprise Development
- The role of small business enterprise in stimulating economic development in developing and transitional societies has been universally lauded and recognized. This is because of its twin benefit of providing direct benefit to the individual entrepreneur, as well as contribute to the overall growth of the macro economy. This is more so in conflict prone areas were members of the demographic population most associated with conflict are often unemployed.
- In recognition of this, Accord has developed a business incubation and development program which harnesses the business potential inherent in young persons by facilitating the incorporation of local entrepreneurs and their businesses into the global business channel through the use of information and communication technologies. Such linkages will enable small businesses take advantage of global trends, opportunities, innovations and development, which could be useful and critical to their operations, growth and competitiveness.
